Useful information about the school

School Dinners

We are a school that has it’s own school kitchen, this
means that we not only have our meals cooked on
site, but also each class has fresh toast and juice, milk
or water at the start of the day!
All full time children are expected to have a school
dinner. This is part of our personal and social
education. We do not have facilities for children to
bring packed lunches. Dinner menus are displayed in
each classroom and in the downstairs entrance and on
the notice boards outside school entrance.

Paying for School Dinners

Dinner money must be paid on Monday mornings. You may
pay weekly, monthly or more if you wish

The current amount is £2.20 per day for 3 year-olds
and £2.00 for 2 year olds from September 2021.

Parents pay in cash for school dinners and you will be given a
barcode letter that you can use to pay for your child’s dinner
either by setting up your own personal account online or using
your local shops displaying the PP symbol.
If you prefer to pay using cash please hand you payment in to
nursery office using the office window where there is a shute to
post your child’s envelope.

Free School Meals

If you feel you are entitled to free school meals
please see office staff who check your eligibility. You
will be required to show proof of income or benefits
received to process your claim. This is very important
as we can get extra funding for your child. If your child
does not eat a particular food either for religious or
medical reasons or through parental choice, please
tell the staff. It will also help the staff if you let them
know if your child has any genuine dislikes.

 Ordering a Dinner

Dinner numbers are given to the catering supervisor
every day at 9.30 am. If you are running late please
telephone the school on 0121 359 2309, so we can
  book your child a dinner.
